e2v partners with ST Electronics to deliver a new range of Stellar TS Block Up Converters (BUCs)

e2v, the technology solutions provider and manufacturer of Stellar satellite uplink amplifiers and ST Electronics, a leading provider of solutions, have today announced the signing of a deal that gives e2v the exclusive reseller rights in the Satellite News Gathering market in Europe for a wide range of miniature BUCs via e2v’s network of regional sales offices.

This year’s IBC will see the introduction of this new range of BUCs into e2v’s expanding Stellar range of portable satellite uplink amplifiers. The new Stellar TS range will be available in C and Ku band frequencies and will provide up to 200W of output power. Very small in size and light-weight, they are designed to be mounted on the feed arm of the satellite antenna, which is ideal for mobile and flyaway applications. The new range is highly energy efficient.

Dick Heinrich, e2v’s commercial and industrial business unit general manager comments: “this is a very exciting time for us, adding the ST Electronics BUCs to the Stellar range will enable us to offer a one stop shop to our customers, from low power solid state BUCs right the way through to very high power TWTA-based amplifiers, all supported through our existing support and service organisation.”

The complete range will be on show at IBC in Amsterdam, stand 5.A43
